On Episode #233 of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Student Engagement Coordinator Abbee Breski to chat about important events happening on campus during the summer term. On our second segment, we welcome former Knightly News President Noah Lopez and Co-Vice President Jules Quare to reflect upon their time in the club before graduation.

During our first segment with Breski, we began by chatting about the SGA elections, currently underway on campus. The election, taking place until July 17 at 5 p.m., offers students the opportunity to vote for the person to lead student government for the next year.

After discussing the SGA elections, the conversation centered around the Party on the Patio events this summer. According to the Central Penn College website, the Party on the Patio series features food trucks, vendors, games, music, and special entertainment every Wednesday on the college’s beautiful patio outside of ATEC. The events take place each Wednesday from July 8 to Aug. 26 from 4 – 6 p.m.

Lastly, Breski shared her “Marquee 3” events of the summer term.

  • Harrisburg Senators vs. Reading Phillies – July 21
  • Suite Sidewalk Stories – Aug. 2-8
  • Summer Beach Day – Aug. 24

Should you have further questions about any of the events discussed on this podcast, you can reach Breski at [email protected] or visit her office in the Underground.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome former Knightly News President Noah Lopez and Co-Vice President Jules Quare to reflect upon their time with the student news organization before graduation.

During the episode, both students shared important memories during their time with the Knightly News, specifically revolving around the haunted house put on before the fall 2025 edition of the CPC Film Series and the recent bingo fundraiser to benefit the Happe Lifestyle last term.

Additionally, they were able to share the impact of being a part of the Knightly News and the benefits they have realized from participating in club activities beyond writing stories and being on podcasts. For example, Quare shared how she appreciated the event-planning aspects of the fundraiser and haunted house. For Lopez, he discussed the significant amount of experience he was able to get during his time with the club, but also talked about the importance of other projects and volunteer experiences as well.

Lopez, who was the youngest president in club history, graduated at the end of the spring term, while Quare is currently on an internship and will complete her degree requirements at the end of the summer term.

Editor’s Note: The Knightly News would like to thank Noah Lopez and Jules Quare for their amazing efforts and we wish them well in the future.
