Business Partner of the Year Breakfast and men’s soccer preview headline Episode #236

On Episode 236 of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Career Services Director Steve Hassinger and Internship Coordinator Kristin Fike to preview the upcoming Business Partner of the Year Breakfast, the largest annual event for the Career Services department at Central Penn. On the second segment, we are joined by Knights men’s head soccer coach Chris Hartman to reflect on the team’s second consecutive USCAA National Championship bid and to look forward to the upcoming season.
During our time with Hassinger and Fike, the group reminisces about the BPOY event, celebrating its 22nd anniversary in 2026. Hassinger recalled his memories from the first event and shared how the breakfast has evolved.
In addition, Fike shared more about one of the marquee aspects of the event, the Intern of the Year Award. In 2026, that honor will go to former Knightly News Vice President for her internship last fall at WITF. Pasquarella reflected on her time with the Knightly News and at her WITF internship in her final piece for the club back in January.
Also joining the show is Knightly News Reporter Leo Blocher, who was able to share their perspectives on networking as a student, as well as to share some insight about how students can get involved and stay engaged with campus life.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome Knights men’s soccer coach Chris Hartman to look back at the 2025 season and to preview the 2026 season.
At the beginning of the show, the group had the opportunity to reminisce about last season, in which the Knights returned to the USCAA National Tournament for the second year in a row, knocking off the #2 seed, Penn State New Kensington, in the first round.
As the show continued, Hartman shared more about key returning players, crucial first-year Knights, and shared important dates on the schedule that Knights fans will want to note.
Also joining the show was Knightly News Reporter Brandon Drumheller, who shared more about a fantastic experience volunteering with the Harrisburg Heat youth camp and discussed a story he wrote about the importance of fandom at Central Penn College.
