For senior outfielder Nic Joseph, baseball has been a constant throughout his life.
Growing up in Tower City, Pa., some of Joseph’s earliest memories of the game came from watching his older brother play. Those moments sparked a love for baseball that stayed with him as he grew older. What started as a young child enjoying the game soon became something much bigger.
By age 12, Joseph realized baseball was more than a hobby. As his confidence and skills grew, so did his passion for the game. It became something he devoted his time and energy to, and over the years that dedication helped shape him into the player and person he is today.

When Joseph arrived at Central Penn College, he quickly became an important part of the baseball program. As an outfielder, he became a dependable presence both in the lineup and on the field. Throughout his career, he played under two different coaches, and each experience helped him grow. While his position remained the same, his understanding of the game, mindset and approach to competition continued to evolve.
That growth helped lead Central Penn through one of the most successful stretches in program history. Joseph was part of three ESAC conference championship teams, but the 2025 championship stands out above the rest. Celebrating the title with his teammates and advancing to the Small College World Series made the experience especially memorable.

Behind every accomplishment was the support system that helped him along the way. Joseph said his parents had the greatest influence on his journey. Their encouragement helped him navigate challenges throughout his career and remain focused during difficult times.
For Joseph, being a teammate meant more than playing baseball. It meant treating the team like family, making sacrifices for one another and always having each other’s backs. That bond became one of the things he valued most throughout his career and a major reason the team accomplished so much together.
As his time at Central Penn comes to a close, Joseph hopes he will be remembered as someone who gave everything he had for the team, competed the right way and represented CPC with pride. He leaves behind a successful playing career and a model of leadership for future players.
After graduation, Joseph plans to use his criminal justice degree to serve his community as a police officer. While this chapter of baseball may be ending, the lessons and memories from his time at Central Penn will stay with him.
Looking back, Joseph is filled with gratitude for the people who were part of his journey. He thanked his teammates, coaches, family and the entire CPC community for their support and the memories made along the way.
For younger players, his message is simple: Work hard, stay humble and enjoy every moment because the game goes by faster than you think.
