Esteemed alum Jenelle Dulack headlines Episode #208

By Paul Miller

Knightly News Co-Adviser

On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we are joined by an esteemed alumni member of the Knightly News, former President Jenelle Dulack. During the episode, we discuss her fond memories of her time at Central Penn College and some fantastic things she has been up to since graduation.

During the first segment of the podcast, Dulack discusses her time at Central Penn, including how she didn’t begin as a communication student upon her arrival. Early on, she realized her passion was in storytelling, and switched to the Corporate Communications major at the college. That decision led to several significant milestones, including Dulack joining the Knightly News, where she ultimately became one of the most prolific journalists the club has ever known. She was also integral in developing the “The Knight Way,” a video newscast highlighting on-campus events and happenings.

But to frame Dulack’s efforts like this does her quite an injustice, as she managed to be an integral part of the campus as an RA, a mentor to other students, and was involved in numerous clubs and organizations around campus. During her time at the college, Dulack was also a prolific videographer, creating three documentaries while directing a collaborative project with the West Shore Connect program.

One of the most memorable times that Dulack recalls was her work with the CPC Film Festival, an event she organized in 2021. Here, she not only got to showcase her own work, but also mentored other students to help them create their own short films. These films can be seen on Dulack’s YouTube channel.

On the second segment of the podcast, we focused on Dulack’s efforts since she graduated in 2022.

The first big break in her professional career came from a desire to get to know the people who lived in her community. This “Harrisburg Smiles” project ultimately saw Dulack photograph nearly 150 people and was even covered in an issue of “The Burg” magazine in November 2023.

After that, Dulack became a producer for the morning newscasts at WPMT FOX 43, sharing her love of video with the Harrisburg market. Since joining the team in 2023, she has been a driving force of the weekly “On the Bright Side” morning news segments alongside Emmy-nominated journalist Gabrielle Mediak.
