On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we are joined by Dean of Student Engagement Adrienne Thoman to discuss important events this summer and Professor and Co-Adviser Michael Lear-Olimpi to reminisce in Knightly News history and announce the launch of CPCKnightlyNews.com.
During our time with Thoman, we discuss the current college philanthropic initiative, called “Raise the Roof.” Thoman specifically discusses the upcoming Drive-in, Drop Off event taking place on July 31 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

- Back to Class Blast – July 13 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Quad
#2 – The return of Central Penn Knights soccer
- Men’s home opener – Sept. 9
- Women’s home opener – Sept. 11
#3 – CPC Film Series with Knightly News Co-President Leslie Heimbaugh – “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” – July 30 from 6 – 9 p.m. in the Capital BlueCross Theatre.
On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome the debut of Knightly News Co-Adviser Michael Lear-Olimpi to discuss the history of the Knightly News, celebrating their sixth year in existence.
Lear-Olimpi and Miller look back the brightest moments of the club and share our insights about the wide variety of people who have made the club special over the years.
The duo also discuss planning for the upcoming Knightly News Hall of Fame induction ceremony, to take place during the fall term. More information will be announced soon.
Finally, Lear-Olimpi shares more information about the launch of CPCKnightlyNews.com, a full update to our online newspaper.
