Student events and Knights basketball headline Episode #228

On Episode #228 of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Student Engagement Coordinator Abbee Breski to discuss a variety of important events on campus during the spring term. During the second segment of the podcast, we welcome Assistant Athletic Director Kenton Alston to discuss the 2025-26 men’s basketball season, with senior basketball player Donnell Loud stopping by to chat about his final campaign with the team.
During our first segment with Breski, we had the opportunity to talk about a number of events on campus during the term, highlighted by her “Featured Three” events that can be seen below.
- April 22 – Earth Day Campus Clean-up – Noon – 2 p.m.
- April 24 – Campus Volunteer Day with Kareem’s Mission
- May 12 – SGA Presents: Yoga in the Quad – 4 p.m.
In addition to the “Featured Three” events, Breski also highlighted the remaining Knights baseball schedule (with home games on April 19, 28 and 30, see http://www.centralpennknights.com for game times and locations) and the upcoming May 29 CPC Film Series featuring alumni members Dylan Bowman and Nik Hogan screening their independent films.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome Knights Assistant Athletic Director Kenton Alston and Knights senior Donnell Loud to discuss the 2025-26 men’s basketball season.
On the episode, Alston reviewed some of the trials and tribulations of the season, looking at some of the key games that turned the tide for the Knights during the campaign.
Additionally, Alston discussed a number of seniors who have played their final game for the Knights, while also highlighting players who are eligible to return next year as a core unit for the team moving forward.
We end the show by welcoming Loud, a communication student who has recently completed his internship with Knights athletics and his associate’s degree at the college, where he offers his final words of wisdom for students on campus.
