The Little Buffalo State Park public swimming pool opened for the season on May 27.Initially, the pool was open only on weekends, but starting June 10, it will be open daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Little Buffalo State Park is in Newport, Perry County, about five miles from Route 22/322.

According to the park’s website, the park is open every day of the year, from sunrise to sunset. The day-use areas of the park close at dusk.

A cash-only fee is charged for admission to the pool. For the 2023 season, daily admission ranges from $4 – $7, with free admission to children under 42 inches tall. Season passes are available at the park office. A fee sheet for the pool is available at this link.

Along with the public swimming pool, the Little Buffalo State Park maintains 923 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, a campground, and a pond for boating and fishing.

The park also hosts two popular events in the region later in the year, including the Old Fashioned Apple Festival in October and the Christmas Walk in December.
