Scholarship talk and COM270 News Brief highlight Episode #145

By Paul Miller

Knightly News Co-Adviser

On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Sandy Box and MaryBeth Fisher from the Education Foundation to chat about this term’s scholarship application and students from COM270 with a Knightly News Brief of important happenings around campus.

During our time with Box and Fisher, we are also joined by Knightly News Secretary Alexa Shughart. During the discussion, Shughart and Box provide tips for success on the Education Foundation Scholarship Application.

This term’s question to consider for the scholarship: Discuss an event, accomplishment, or period in your life that changed you as a person and led to personal growth.

To apply, go to http://foundation.centralpenn.edu. Be sure to fill out the entire application and receive a confirmation that your essay was accepted. In past terms, over 80% of applicants received some form of award.

In addition, Fisher shares some important news about upcoming alumni events. For further information on any of the events discussed on the show, you can reach Fisher at MaryBethFisher@centralpenn.edu.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome students from our COM270 class to give the Knightly News Brief.
