The Central Penn College Knights baseball team received some welcome news in recent weeks. The team will be playing four home dates (with a total of eight games) at FNB Field on City Island in Harrisburg.

Central Penn College and the Harrisburg Senators announced this partnership as part of a press conference on Feb. 23 at FNB Field. FNB is home to the Harrisburg Senators, the AA affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to call FNB Field home,” Central Penn Athletic Director Kasey Hicks said. “A lot of offices and departments helped in making this happen. Teamwork really does make the dream work.”

The Knights will face Penn State – Hazleton in the first FNB Field game on March 15 for a doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. The team will still play some games at the In The Net Sports Complex, Palmyra, but will play a majority of their home games at FNB Field in 2022.

Besides March 15, tentative dates for Knights games at FNB are March 23, March 31, April 15 and April 22.

The Knightly News Media Club will be broadcasting most of the team’s home games in 2022. Broadcast dates will be March 2, March 15, March 23, March 31, April 15 and April 22. If additional games are added or the schedule changes, updates will be made through the Knightly News Facebook and Twitter (@CPCKnightlyNews) pages.
