Another golf open has wrapped up on the course.
As summer winds down, students are finishing the summer term and preparing for the fall term, and the Central Penn College Education Foundation wants to thank everyone who participated in the 52nd Annual Golf Open scholarship fundraiser earlier this month.
The day was fun-filled, with attendees chatting with new and old friends, friendly competition between the beverage carts providing hydration and goodies to the golfers, baskets being raffled and winners being crowned.
As we celebrate wins for Central Penn students, we must also celebrate the wins of the golfers.
Top scores of 56 (15 under par) went to Boyer & Ritter and Anderson Pro Painting!
The competition continued with various holes bringing new challenges. The challenges included the longest drive and the closest to the pin. The winners are listed below:
• Longest putt, Hole #3: Garrett Burkey
• Closest to the pin, Hole #5: Jake Babinchak
• Longest drive for men, Hole #7: Brian Osborne
• Longest drive for women, Hole #7: Haley Brubaker
• Closest to the pin, Hole #12: Chris Hartman
Congratulations to all the winners of each challenge, and thank you for competing to provide opportunities for student success.
Of course, the biggest winners are Central Penn students, as this event raised over $36,000 in scholarship support.
Mark your calendars for the 53rd Annual Golf Open, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9, 2024.
