On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome the Director of First-Year Experience Janet Bixler to chat about her trip to Iceland with “Alumni Adventures” and the Director of Community Relations Curtis Voelker to discuss the outcome of the 2022 CPC Gives Back campaign.

During our discussion with Bixler, we chatted about her recent trip to Iceland with the “Alumni Adventures” initiative. Bixler shares her experience on the trip, including her experience trying to see the northern lights and getting to connect with the many alums who came on the trip.

Bixler also had the opportunity to discuss her role as the director of the first-year experience, specifically discussing the “Claiming the Castle” and the “Knights at the Roundtable” programs.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome the Director of Community Relations Curtis Voelker to chat about the 2022 CPC Gives Back campaign, called Project P.A.W.

During the segment, Voelker had the opportunity to discuss the organizations we are partnering with, the progress that we have made to this point, and what listeners can do in the final days to help us reach our goals for cash donations, pet care items and volunteer hours.

Knightly News Reporter Dalton Koller also joined the podcast, discussing his experiences giving back to the community through volunteering. Koller was an integral piece of the Central Penn College Knights baseball team and working with Challenger Baseball, a local baseball league for children and adults with special needs. You can read more about that experience here.
