Soon-to-graduate student reflects on why Central Penn is a good choice

Central Penn College gives students several reasons to attend its beautiful campus. These are mentioned below.
The faculty and staff go above and beyond to help students succeed during and after their time at Central Penn.
The college is filled with the most pleasant professors. They’re always willing to do what needs done to lead students to success. Each professor offers office hours during which students can get help with and clarification on assignments.
Small class sizes allow students more one-on-one opportunities with professors. At other colleges with larger class sizes, it can be difficult getting the help you may need from a professor.
Plentiful services available
At the end of each term, students are tasked with filling out a course-evaluation survey. The survey allows students to critique the class and the professor. According to Central Penn’s Office of Academic Affairs, the survey is a reflection on a student’s overall experience of the course, the professor and the knowledge obtained from the course.
Many services are provided to ensure the student’s needs are being met.
Central Penn’s Career Services office is dedicated to and invested in the success of all students. According to the college, students and graduates find Career Services a valuable resource for landing their first job or for launching their career.
According to the most recent three-year graduate survey, 88.1 percent of Central Penn alumni found employment in their chosen field or ended up furthering their education.
Dedicated to well-being
The mental health of all students is a top priority at Central Penn. Free counseling services are offered to students enrolled at the Summerdale campus or at the Lancaster Center, and to commuters and online learners.
Affordable housing is offered to students who live on campus. Students may choose to live in the newly renovated Super Suites, or in the apartments. According to Central Penn’s website, incoming students who qualify and choose to live on campus may be eligible for a two-year (eight consecutive terms) scholarship worth up to $11,616. Students may even reapply and receive two additional years of the housing scholarship. In total, the scholarship awards are valued at $23,232.
Clubs – fun and learning
Central Penn also offers a wide variety of clubs for students to join – 25 of them. Often, students join several clubs. A few of the clubs are The Knightly News Media Club, Black Student Union, Student Government Association, Colleges Against Cancer, and the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.
If students don’t see the club they were hoping for, they can form their own club through the Student Government Association’s approval process.
Alumni connections and help
Central Penn’s alumni association was founded in 1984.
According to Central Penn, the association encourages education as a way of life and encourages involvement through reunions, social events and unique educational opportunities.
There are several reasons a person may want to attend Central Penn, but nothing beats the fact that the college community cares for its students during and after they earn their degree.
