On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Student Success Coach Elijah Tinson to chat about events on campus during the spring term and Career Services Director Steve Hassinger to discuss the JA Inspire Virtual Career Fair.

During our time with Tinson, we discuss a variety of options for students to get involved in activities around campus. From trips to an aquarium to a bowling night, Tinson has worked tirelessly to find valuable events for our students to engage with.

Tinson’s “Marquee Three” events are featured below.

  • BSU & Public Safety Cookout – May 16 in the afternoon, Quad
  • Knights Karaoke – June 5, 6 – 8 p.m.

Have questions about any of the events? Feel free to reach out to Tinson by sending him an email.

On the second segment of the podcast, we welcome Career Services Director Steve Hassinger to chat about the JA Inspire Virtual Career Fair.

The career fair, which began in March and runs through the end of June, is a 24/7 virtual experience that blends information, job search tips, and direct links to application websites.

The fair, which can be found at https://jascpa.vfairs.com/, is key for career exploration but also boasts numerous job opportunities for students at all levels of their college careers.

The podcast is also joined by Knightly News Reporter Noah Lopez, providing a unique perspective on his experiences with job fairs this year.

In addition, we also previewed the Career Services Networking Session, taking place on May 7 in ATEC 310 during Common Hour. The session, featuring a discussion led by Member’s First Federal Credit Union employees, stresses creating an elevator pitch. It is open to all students.

For more information about either of these events, reach out to careerservices@centralpenn.edu.
