Central Penn holds 2021 ‘Adulting Fair’

Students, staff and faculty gathered on the afternoon of Oct. 13 for the annual adulting fair in The Quad, where students learned tips and tricks for leading an adult life.
Students who attended had the chance to win gift cards and other prizes by completing a passport game from the Center for Student Success.
“The goal is for students to go to each table and get a stamp on their passport,” Caitlin Copus, director of advising, said. “Everyone who fills their passport will be entered to win the gift cards. This helps students get to know the other departments on campus.”
During the event, students also had the opportunity to stop by tables that provided creative adulting-themed activities, such as the Career Services table, which provided students with free professional/business clothing for interviews, job fairs and future employment.
Other stops included information on topics like:
- Meal planning on a budget
- Identifying different hardware tools that are commonly needed in a household
- A mock-up “The Price is Right” game to guess how much a meal costs
Free food – hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream – was also available for attendees.
