A farewell to Sandy Box and Knightly News Brief headline Episode #202

By Paul Miller

Knightly News Co-Adviser

On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome the Executive Director of the Central Penn College Education Foundation Sandy Box in her final days before retirement. Also joining the podcast is the new executive director, Trisha Comstock, to share her impressions on taking over for Box moving forward. On the second segment of the podcast, News Correspondent Noah Lopez offers the fall 2024 edition of the Knightly News Brief.

During our time with Box, we discuss her career journey, especially how she got into working with non-profit organizations that supported college students. Box says that what drew her to this line of work was the rewards that she felt seeing people reach their full potential.

Then, the podcast shifts to an introduction to Comstock, someone who has spent much of her life in Cumberland County, allowing her to feel an amazing connection to the local area and the college. Comstock welcomes the challenge of taking over for Box, though she realizes that she has big shoes to fill.

The podcast is also joined by News Correspondent Noah Lopez, who adds his impressions from a student perspective on what Box has meant to the institution.

On the second segment, News Correspondent Noah Lopez delivers the Knightly News Brief, an audio version of some of our best stories of the fall term.

The following stories are featured in the brief:
