Knights basketball and winter News Brief headline Episode #207
By Paul Miller
Knightly News Co-Adviser
On this episode of the Knightly News Podcast, we welcome Kasey Hicks and Kenton Alston from the Central Penn College athletic department to review the 2024-25 basketball season for the Knights. On the second segment, News Correspondent Noah Lopez gives the winter 2025 edition of the Knightly News Brief.
During the first segment, the group reviews the Knights basketball season. For the Lady Knights, they found themselves as ESAC runner-ups after making it to the conference championship game earlier this month. The conversation centered around the stars on the team, including Cayla Thomas and Allison Yoder, and the two graduating seniors, Brandi Swinton and Sidney “Flash” Green.
For the men’s team, a slow start set them back, though the team did rebound during conference play, winning five games during the second half of the season including a key victory against ESAC foe Bucks County Community College. During the discussions, senior Anthony McClinton was recognized, while strong players like Dahsan King and Khalil Dukes were highlighted.
On the second segment, News Correspondent Noah Lopez delivers the winter 2025 Knightly News Brief, an audio version of some of our best stories of the fall term.
The following stories are featured in the brief:
- “The Social Network” revisited: How the film reflects today’s digital world – Nik Hogan
- Little library has much to offer – Alex Foley

This is our final podcast of the winter term. We will return in the spring term with our next episode being released on April 15.
