Some holiday events in and around Harrisburg
The region has many wonderful big-time holiday displays

Central Pennsylvania provides people with many festive adventures to get them in the holiday spirit.
Below is a list of a few events.
Christmas at Fort Hunter, Harrisburg: Dec. 7 – Dec. 22
Throughout the month, the mansion at Fort Hunter, on North Front Street, Harrisburg, and the site’s park are redecorated for the holiday season. Guests can enjoy a 45-minute tour of the mansion, which has been decked out for the holidays, enjoy the toy train exhibits and kids 12 and under can shop for gifts for the whole family for $11 and less. Christmas Magic, York: Nov. 29 – Dec. 30
Located at Rocky Ridge County Park, this event features a ½-mile woodland walk through a festive trail filled with many holiday lights and scenes. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
Hersheypark Christmas Candylane: Dec. 12 – Dec. 31
Offering over 5 million holiday lights, the most in a Christmas display in Pennsylvania, this holiday tradition offers festive light exhibits, rides and seven roller coasters, live reindeer, one-of-a-kind treats and performances by Hershey characters in the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre. Christmas Spirit Light Show, Lancaster: Nov. 29 – Dec. 31
Housed in Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, this event features a one-mile drive-through lightshow with many colorful exhibits that change colors to the beat of popular Christmas songs. In addition, there is a walking portion in the park that has over 100 decorated trees. This portion of the event is free and features Santa every night, reindeer every Thursday, music from carolers and festive treats. More information can be found here.
