With Valentine’s Day coming up fast, love is in the air, and it’s time to think about a place for a romantic date, if you haven’t thought of one yet.

Sure: Plenty of lovebirds have planned activities for this special day, but some folks not from the region or who aren’t used to going out on a Valentine’s Day date may want to know about some options that can make for a fun and memorable time out on a special date.
Some ideas for a get-together for you and your significant other follow.
Dukes Riverside Bar and Grille, Dockside Willies or Tequila Willies
These restaurants are next door to one another at the end of Front Street in Wormleysburg, near where the Market Street Bridge brings traffic and pedestrians across the Susquehanna from Harrisburg.
They offer plenty of food options—pizzas, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, ribs, seafood, salads and (in the case of Tequila Willies) Southwestern-style foods such as tacos.
One thing that separates these restaurants from other local eateries is that you have an option of eating on a deck for views of the Susquehanna River and the Harrisburg skyline.
If you choose to eat indoors at Dukes, 22 TVs offer viewing throughout the restaurant.
Average price for a meal per person is $20.
For more information, click Dukes. The website includes links to Dockside Willies and to Tequilla Willies.
The Melting Pot
The Melting Pot, 3350 Paxton St., Harrisburg, is a fondue restaurant in Harrisburg that provides entrees, salads, desserts and, of course, fondue.
The restaurant’s webpage describes February as a “love takeover,” as there are some special Valentine’s Day-related events planned at The Melting Pot, such as Galentine’s—a day, usually Feb. 13, on which girls and women celebrate friendship between and among themselves, which stems from the television series “Parks and Recreation,” according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary online—and eight days of romance that run from Feb. 10-17.
Prices range from $30 to $60 per person, though some prices could be higher or lower.

Candlelight by Fever
Fever is a global live-entertainment discovery platform that organizes events in cities across the world.
One of these events is known as Candlelight, in which musicians perform while surrounded by hundreds of candles.
In Harrisburg, Candlelight events take place at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center, at Harrisburg Area Community College, 1 HACC Drive, in Harrisburg, while in York, they are held at Valencia Ballroom, 142 N. George St. Both places have a Valentine’s Day Special performance on Valentine’s Day which costs from $39 in Harrisburg and $32 in York.
Harrisburg has another Candlelight event on the same day themed to music by Coldplay and Imagine Dragons for which the lowest-cost tickets are $46.50.

Prices per person for the dinner are usually around $25.
