The Central Penn Lady Knights are gearing up for what promises to be a thrilling 2024-2025 season, on and off the court.
With high hopes and ambitious goals, coach Stasia King and her team are poised to make a strong impact.
King emphasizes her vision for the season: “My expectation this year is that we compete and play at a high level on the court and in the class.”
Holding her players to a high standard, she aims to drive the Lady Knights to compete for a championship. A key factor in their quest will be the team’s emerging leaders, Allison Yoder and Sydney Green.
King is confident in these experienced players.
“These young ladies have a lot of game experience under their belt in this league,” she said.
Sophomore center Yoder is expected to be a powerhouse for the Lady Knights, having averaged 12 points and nine rebounds per game last season. Yoder’s presence in the paint is set to make her a force to be reckoned with.
Alongside her is senior guard Sydney Green, who averaged 10 points and five rebounds last year. Green’s experience and consistency on the court have established her as a pivotal leader.
King believes they will be instrumental to the Lady Knights’ success.
Adding to the excitement are talented newcomers like frosh Diamond Whitaker and Nyree Roberson-Waters.
“Diamond leads by example with defensive tenacity and competitive drive,” King said, underscoring the fresh intensity Whitaker brings to the team.
With a blend of veteran experience and promising young talent, the Lady Knights are ready to make their mark in the 2024-2025 season. King’s commitment to excellence for her players, academically and athletically, sets a high bar, and this team seems ready to rise to the occasion.
