Knightly News Media Club members and Central Penn Knights baseball joined forces on Sunday for a baseball clinic with the Camp Hill Senior Challenger Baseball League.

Camp Hill Challenger Baseball, a league for children with special needs residing in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and York counties, also features a league for adults 21 and over.

The senior division met at the Vault indoor baseball facility in Mechanicsburg for an afternoon of skills-building on the field.

The group of volunteers, consisting of Kevon Davis, Bret Saveleski, Anderson Bridwell and Adi Mujkanovic, offered four different stations to help the players refine their skills and develop new ones. Stations for pitching, fielding and two different types of batting practice were offered.

After the stations concluded, each player got to play “Home Run Derby,” where they had three minutes to take their best swings to knock one out of the park.

While the Camp Hill Challenger Baseball season concludes in early June, the Knightly News has been planning this clinic since the spring term. The league will reconvene next spring, with sign-ups beginning in January.
